It's a question that has been asked many times before: what do girls want? The answer to this question may seem complicated, but in reality it's very simple. Guys think they have girls completely figured out, but a cliche relationship with roses on Valentine's day isn't what we have in mind. The basis in understanding what girls want is realizing that we enjoy simplicity. Maybe it's a sweet text out of the blue, or a compliment on our new outfit: we remember the little things. Girls are more likely to respond to something thoughtful because we are emotional creatures. For example: A man buys a present for his wife. He gives the gift to her and she is overjoyed. She asks her husband why he got her the gift and his response is "because you are my wife and I have too." Suddenly the happiness fades and the gift loses its meaning. What if the man had responded by saying "I got you this gift because I love you and you make me happier than anyone else in the whole world!" Ok, that may be a little mushy, but you get the picture. We want guys to like us as much as we like them. You don't need a fancy dinner or something extravagant to impress us. What a guy may think is insignificant might turn out to be extremely important.

  1. Nice! This is going to be VERY interesting. I will probably be forwarding your posts to my husband and my friends' husbands--some guys need all the help they can get (ha ha)!
